The death of Jesus Christ is one of the most important events in Christianity. According to the bible, Jesus was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death by crucifixion under the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross at Golgotha. Jesus Christ was innocent, but he willingly accepted all sufferings. Jesus death was a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. This very day is what Christians call the “GOOD FRIDAY”. On this day, Christians, most especially the Catholics do not eat “meat”. The death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary represents Sacrifice, Love and Forgiveness.
The level/rate of Insecurity in Nigeria is ridiculously high, and this saddens our heart. Our country which used to be a very peaceful place , suddenly started bleeding in 2010 and as time goes by, the rate of insecurity keeps getting worse. NELFUND, also known as Nigerian Education Loan Fund, is a government program in Nigeria that give loans to students in public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education so they can pay school fees and support their education. This NELFUND program also includes giving students who applied for it a monthly upkeep althrough the session. This program is actually one good thing I will say the federal government of Nigeria has done.

While I was an undergraduate in the University as an Art student, we were made to understand that Tragedy has been an important part of Dramatic literature, especially in Western tradition where it is often related with the works of the Greek playwrights such as Sophocles, Aeschylus and Euripides. We have the classical tragedy where the focus is usually on a great hero who falls due to fate, personal weakness or a tragic flaw.

As a Thespian, I can confidently tell you that this life is a blend of passion, dedication, and resilience. I remember clearly when I was an undergraduate, my life revolved around rigorous trainings in a course popularly known as Theatre Workshop, this course is a 2 unit course but very dangerous if you ever dare have a carry over in it. The workshop involves honing skills in acting, voice projection, movement, and character development. Auditions are constant. Generally, being a thespian , auditions become a constant reality, it comes as a mix of excitement and potential rejection, as actors audition for roles in plays, films and other performances. Being a thespian, you should be able to bring stories to life.

Hmmmmmm Adulthood…... can you just imagine that long sigh? Well, nobody told me to prepare for this kind of adulthood. When we were much younger, I’m so certain majority of us anticipated being an adult just because of the freedom that comes with being a full-grown adult. But, this adulthood is not adulting, many of us are seeing SHEGE. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way especially with the current state of our dear country, Nigeria. This phase of our life is where we are faced with various life challenges. One of the biggest challenges is definitely financial responsibility. Managing money, paying bills and saving for the future is super stressful. Many of us certainly weren’t told we would have to go through various heartbreaks in relationships, being with the wrong partner will also make you feel as if life is really unfair to you as an adult.
