How People Are Losing Humanity Lately.
In recent years, so many people have started to feel that the world is becoming colder, harsher, and less compassionate. The act of kindness now feels rare, while cruelty and selfishness are increasing. Lately, when you converse with some people, you’ll feel they have gradually begun to loss their humanity. Humanity is not just about being human by birth, humanity means showing empathy, kindness, patience, and respect towards other people. When people start to lose these qualities, the society begins to feel less safe and caring.
One of the reasons people start to lose humanity is because lately, many people only focus on their own success, happiness and survival. Alot of people are on survival mode, they don’t care about others or consider how their actions affect others. Social media has even made it worse, as people now compare their lives with others and become more concerned with appearance and validation.
The influence of internet and technology has also made a lot of people lose humanity. While technology has made life easier, it has also reduced human connection as people now prefer to spend more time on their phones than to communicate face-to-face. It has become easier for people to bully, insult, or ignore others online, since there is no direct emotional contact. When people don’t see the pain they cause, they easily lose their ability to feel empathy towards people.
Just as I wrote earlier that many people are living on survival mode. Many people are struggling financially, emotionally, and mentally which tends to make people less patient and less kind when survival becomes difficult. Instead of helping each other, people now become defensive, angry and selfish. Some people are not naturally bad, but the constant pressure can make them forget their values.
However, it would be wrong of me to say that humanity is completely gone, because there are still people who help strangers, support their friends, care for their families, and stand up for what is right. The problem is that kindness is becoming quieter while cruelty is becoming louder.
The world may look like there is no humanity in it again, not because good people no longer exist, but because negativity spreads faster.
In order to make the world a better place, individuals must choose to be kind, have empathy, and understanding. Humanity does not disappear all at once, it fades gradually when people stop to care and it can return the moment people decide to care again.
So, let us all come together to make this world a better place!!
