Events Happening in Nigeria this Easter 2026
For everyone looking forward to this year Easter festival which is coming up in April. Easter Sunday coming up on the 5th of April 2026 while Easter Monday is on the 6th of April, before this, we have the Good Friday which is going to be on the 3rd of April. During this holy festive season, churches host prayer conventions for members and non-members to come celebrate that Jesus Christ has risen from the dead.
However, during the period from the 2nd of April, shows/events are being hosted all around the nation.
The Homecoming Festival Lagos is happening in Lagos starting from April 2 - April 6, 2026, which features music, fashion, art, parties, sports and pop-ups, and this event is taking place in different venues as it is one of the biggest youth festivals in Nigeria. Also, if you have kids, the Children Funfair and Trade Fair is happening on Easter Sunday at Okota, Lagos. This event will be featuring games, food, shopping and family activities.
In Ibadan, the popular show called Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka and Friends, is a comedy show, it is happening on April 5, 2026(Easter Sunday) and the venue is at Jogor centre, Ibadan. This particular event usually features Comedy, music, live show, celebrity guests.
In Port Harcourt, the 02 Live concert tour is hosted for 3 days, starting from April 3 - April 5. The first day is at Aztech Arcum, stadium road, Port Harcourt. This event will be featuring live music show, and it starts by 8pm. The venue for the second day is at Hobnob Lounge, Port Harcourt, it is a night concert/club show. The venue for the last day is at Jackmino lounge, which will be featuring party and live performance.
In Abuja, an event called the Akwanga Mega Blast is coming up in April 3, 2026, at Abuja/Nasarawa axis. It is going to be featuring music, and it will be a crowd event and party show.
However, if you live in either Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja or Port Harcourt, you can decide to go chill out by attending any of these shows, try to have some fun before the Easter holiday comes to an end.
