Insecurity in Nigeria.
The level/rate of Insecurity in Nigeria is ridiculously high, and this saddens our heart. Our country which used to be a very peaceful place , suddenly started bleeding in 2010 and as time goes by, the rate of insecurity keeps getting worse. It all started in 2010, when BokoHaram kidnapped Chibok school girls and up till today, some of the girls haven’t been released from the captivity of those terrorist.
The rate of banditry and kidnapping is so high, especially in the North-West. Terrorism/Insurgency is also so rampant in the Northern part of the country, most especially in Borno State. The Fulani Herdsmen are also being a menace in the Middle Belt, they go to citizens farm to steal, kill and even sexually assault the women in their farms, causing people to fear going to farm. There are also cases of Armed robbery and cultism is urban areas, while there are cases of Oil theft and militancy in the Niger Delta.
It is so sad that we hear news of insecurity in Nigeria everyday. The most recent news that brought tears to the eyes of many Nigerians is the attack that happened on the 29th of March, 2026. This happened on Palm Sunday, in Jos, the capital of Plateau state. This attack was carried out by armed men, they attacked the communities in Jos North. The gunmen reportedly arrived in motorcycles and opened fire indiscriminately on residents. This happened on Sunday night. Over 30 residents were confirmed dead. The victims were ordinary residents in their own homes.

No mother deserves to witness what this woman in the image above witnessed. It is so heartbreaking to see that the violence in Nigeria is becoming more frequent and unpredictable. Civilians are the main targets and many communities feel unprotected.
It is high time our government take a very strict action against this insecurity in the country, citizens cannot continue to live in fear anymore. Enough is Enough.
