THE DEATH AND THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST!
The death of Jesus Christ is one of the most important events in Christianity. According to the bible, Jesus was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death by crucifixion under the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross at Golgotha. Jesus Christ was innocent, but he willingly accepted all sufferings. Jesus death was a sacrifice for the sins of humanity. This very day is what Christians call the “GOOD FRIDAY”. On this day, Christians, most especially the Catholics do not eat “meat”. The death of Jesus on the cross of Calvary represents Sacrifice, Love and Forgiveness.
Three days after the burial of Jesus, something miraculous happened. Jesus rose from the dead. This is why Christians celebrate what we call “Easter Sunday”. This is the day Christians celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ shows the victory over death. It proves Jesus is who he said he is. The resurrection of Jesus gives believers hope of eternal life. The resurrection of Jesus represents, New Life, Hope, and Victory. The Easter Sunday is actually the most important day in Christianity.
So this is the season for every Christian to celebrate and be merry.
May this season bring so much joy, hope and a new beginning for all of us. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE 🎉❤️❤️
